Accessibility at District Talent

District Talent is committed to making this website usable for as many visitors as possible. This page describes the accessibility features we have implemented and how to contact us if you encounter a barrier.

Features

What we have implemented

Keyboard navigation

Every page can be navigated with a keyboard. A skip-to-content link appears at the top of each page when focused, letting keyboard users jump directly to the main content. Focus states are visible with a clear outline on interactive elements.

Navigation menu and keyboard support

The desktop Events menu opens on hover or with keyboard activation, supports Arrow and Escape keys, and closes on outside click. The mobile menu opens and closes with a toggle button, supports the Escape key to close, returns focus to the toggle, and reports its state to assistive technology.

Readable contrast and typography

The design uses charcoal text on ivory and white backgrounds with sufficient contrast for readability. Body text uses Inter at a comfortable size, and headings use Manrope with generous spacing.

Image descriptions

Photographs include descriptive alt text that conveys what is visible in the image. Decorative elements that do not convey information are marked appropriately for assistive technology.

Semantic structure

Pages use semantic HTML with a single primary heading per page, descriptive headings for sections, breadcrumb navigation, and landmarks that help assistive technology users understand and move through the page.

Reduced motion

Visitors who prefer reduced motion see no animations. The site respects the prefers-reduced-motion setting and keeps transitions minimal by default.
